A 17 year old boy accused of drugging and cohabiting with a 14 year old girl remains in juvenile custody eight weeks now.
The boy was accused of unlawfully living with the standard seven pupil for five days at his house in Kayole.
He was charged for infringing the rights of a minor by inducing her to engage in adult consent activities.
According to Prosecution, the suspect negligently engaged the minor in
physical and psychological abuse contrary to section 15 as read with
section 20 of the children act of 2001.
The teenage boy was accused of coarsing her into the activities between
23 rd September and 26th September this year, thereby rendering her to
be a child of in need of cars and property.
He denied the charge before a Makadara court but failed to secure his release in a sh 300,000 bond.
The court ordered investigations to finalise and produce exhibits that would clearly question the suspects innocence.
This includes an investigating officer to record their ground statement and produce one more witness before court.
However, the court insisted in confirming the suspects true age and ordered for an age assessment report.
In addition medical reports are required with supporting facts the girl
was treated two months ago at Medicins Sans Frontiers on 27th September.
The case will be heared on December 3rd this year.
