A 40 year old mother who set abduction charges against a relative for
taking her 14 old son forcefully is set to face another case accusing
her of being an irresponsible parent.
The mother had accused her sister-in-law of forcefully detaining her 14 year old son in a tag of war early this month.
However, a makadara court postponed the abduction case for a later
date citing the boys mother is to face a higher court in another case
accusing her of negligence.
Before the court could proceed with the case, doors were shut in the childrens court room to ensure privacy and secure identity.
The auntie ,a sister to the boys father responded almost
instantly when police reports filed the abduction case. The suspect approached a
higher court accusing the boys mother of Child negligence and requesting for
the court to allow her custody over the boy.
During a press interview, she said "the father left the child 12 years ago and flew overseas without a word."
The
counter case accuses the mother of assaulting the boy and lacking the
responsibility to care for her own son,thereby child negligence.
The boys mother expresses fear and sense conspiracy in the case. "I
believe this case is being heavily funded from overseas to get my child's custody away from me."she said in a teary voice.
The case will be heared at the Milimani courts this month.
