AFRO-URBAN ARTISTS ON PEACEFUL SOUNDS


An eccentric event sparkled music lovers over the weekened at the Goeth Institute setting a peace mode for next years general election.

P.A.U (Pamoja Amani Upendo)  comprises of 57 members performed Afro-urban sounds from7pm on Friday till late.

The event dubbed ' Upendo 2012' is a Peace concert saw Ukoo flani artist, Sharma perform as a supporting member.

The groups Chairman, Richie  Rich says after the weeks event they plan to tour nationwide in major towns if sponsors roll in." We come from different backgrounds in education and towns. We bring the love through our performances as a community based organization."

The groups diversity included various talents in Percussion, Afro fusion, Rap, Modelling and twisting trends of urban acrobats.

The event was expected to show a magnitude through diversity, as the youngest member is nine years and the oldest 70.

Percussionist and Member, Kaboge Chagala expressed deep value saying "We have professions and artists in the group such as lawyers and university students who dedicate their support to the CBO."

On weekdays the music lovers are spotted at Kenya National Theater from 11 am to midday in rigorous practice.
